Description
Piano Black Dashboard Trims for the Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evolution
The Evolution was finished in the light of a racer and the dark of a saloon. Between the instruments, the factory left the panels plain. DMC has set a deeper black into those places: piano black trims, added to the structure already there, so the cabin takes a gloss the road car never carried.
Not a replacement of the board. An addition. The dash remains. These panels sit on it, and the black does the rest.

A darker reading of the board
A piano surface does not decorate. It reflects. On the Evolution, the trims take the places the eye already rests: the runs beside the instruments, the edges of the structure, the small panels a saloon left matte. The gloss is deep enough that the cabin reads as commissioned, not accessorised.
Specified when the commission is named. Gloss, and only gloss. That is the point of the finish.
How the panels are finished
The black is not a film. Each trim is prepared, lacquered and polished until the surface holds a reflection without a ripple, the same patience DMC gives a weave. Where the carbon panels are cured in the autoclave, these are brought to gloss by hand, ply of lacquer upon lacquer, until the black is deep enough to be called piano.
Global orders and delivery
The trims do not end at the bench. DMC offers worldwide insured shipping and concierge-level logistics, so the component arrives as securely as the commission deserves. Named, packed, and sent to the car it was finished for.
Since 2009
DMC Exotic Car Tuning Limited has spent the years since 2009 treating the cabin as structure. German engineering, held to TÜV-certified development for road safety. The same discipline supplied to OEM dealers, and to the Italian houses and yacht ateliers that already know what a surface should feel like.
The 190 E Evolution piano black trims belong to that line. A classic Mercedes-Benz, given the gloss its racing life left unspoken.
Commissioned through DMC.
