Carbon Fibre Centre Console for the Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evolution

Between the seats, the Evolution still carried the saloon. The wing had been drawn. The engine had been given its reason. The console remained the piece a road car uses to hold a lever and a lid. DMC has drawn that piece again, in carbon.

Not a trim laid over the old moulding. A replacement. The original console comes out. This one goes in, and the lever still falls where Stuttgart set it.

The piece between the seats

The Evolution, and the Evolution II that followed it, were made in small numbers so a racer could exist. What the driver touches should not still belong to the car it left behind. This console is that correction: one panel, drawn for the hand, the lid and the lever, in the material the body had already earned.

It is specified when the rest of the cabin has been taken seriously.

How the console is made

The weave is not applied. It is built. Prepreg carbon fibre, laid to the form of the original console, then committed to the autoclave: heat and pressure until the laminate has no void left to hide. No film over a mould. No decorative skin. The console is the material.

The console does not end at the autoclave. DMC offers worldwide insured shipping and concierge-level logistics, so the component arrives as securely as the commission deserves. Named, packed, and sent to the car it was drawn for.

DMC Exotic Car Tuning Limited has spent the years since 2009 treating carbon as structure. German engineering, held to TÜV-certified development for road safety. The same discipline supplied to OEM dealers, and to the Italian houses and yacht ateliers that already know what a weave should feel like.

The 190 E Evolution centre console belongs to that line. A classic Mercedes-Benz, given the piece its racing life implied.

Install:

This is a replacement part. The OEM dashboard needs to be removed for installation but you won’t have to send it in. Use the DMC Tool Kit if you feel necessary. Although fitting is quite straight forward we do always recommend using a trained professionals to undertake the install. We estimate around 150 minutes to fit. Remember to turn off the airbag before installing.

Carbon Fiber Gel Coat:

DMC Carbon Fiber Products come with a free Gloss or Matte Coating on all Carbon Fiber items, please leave a note at check out which one you like. If you don’t specify we will add a gloss base layer. However we suggest you to add one additional layer to match your country’s local UV and weather requirements as they differ throughout the world. We also suggest to wax and seal the item further, even though we include a base seal of high quality carnauba product. This can be protective in regions that have high humidity or rain.
