DMC has been working on a subtle refinement for the british super sport car McLaren 720s for a while, and we aleady saw pictures of their wing. But now the German tuner has finished what they call the STAGE1 package for the British Super Car: Officially introducing the DMC McLaren 720s “Velocita”.

The first revision that grabs our attention are the front swords. Made of 100% Carbon Fiber, these 2 parts add onto the original bumper and improve the downforce. Right between them is the option to replace the OEM grill with a carbon version, or add two improved tunnel vents onto the original center piece.

On the sides, we find a new pair of skirts that add downforce to keep the beast well placed on the road. Shaped in line with the original 720s design, these add on parts give form as well as function. Also prominent is the new set of alloys. Made from Forged Aluminum, the wheels come in dimensions of 9.5 x 20 at the front and 11 x 21 at the back. As we are used to from DMC, the Germans love using Pirelly tyres, in particular seen here with the format 245/30 ZR20 and 305/25 ZR21.

On the back, both the rear diffuser as well as the rear bumper have been replaced by carbon fiber versions of the OEM parts. On the top, the engine grill and hood cover have been treated with the same and now glance in 100% Kohlefaser.

The rear features also the same wing that we saw earlier, and it hasn’t lost any of its glory. In tradition of the German engineers, they developed a carbon copy of the McLaren’s base wing first, and then designed an integrated duck wing on top of it. Using the original mounting points as the original wing, the new spoiler can hence be installed without drilling any holes and without the need of using glue. And not stopping there, the McLaren’s Brake-Wing function still works, no errors will show when using DMC’s aerodynamic solution. We can’t help but see the resemblance of McLaren’s famous P1 wing in DMC’s design – well done!

The performance package is a combination of a new exhaust, paired with a ECU modification. The muffler comes with with flaps, and is made of heat resisting stainless polished steel. You can choose to get it either with sports cats or hatless. The power mod will get you 755 HP / 555 KW, at 7300 s/min, and be prepared for a massive 780 NM torque, pushing you from 0-100 KM/h in a mere 2,8 seconds.

DMC McLaren 720s “Rhein”

DMC has been working on a subtle refinement for the british super sport car McLaren 720s for a while, and we saw pictures of the progress on their Instagram page @DMC_Luxury . But now the German tuner has posted a couple of teaser photos that hint for a STAGE 2 development. Introducing the DMC McLaren 720s “Rhein”.

The first revision that grabs our attention is the newly designed front bumper. While DMC’s soft kit (720s Velocita) had a decent front lip attached to the standard body, we find a whole replacement bumper on the Rhein Edition. Made of 100% Carbon Fiber, this part uses the original mounting points and ensures that you can revert your car back to original look at any time.

DMC McLaren 570s “88”

DMC has made it’s name with a stunning list of Lamborghini conversions. The Germans are so well known for their work on the italian horse, that it’s easy to neglect their respectable history with McLaren. Indeed DMC is one of few tuners that have packages ready, going all the way back to the MP412C. And today, another mile-stone is set by launching their 570s programme!

The DMC McLaren 570s “88” knows how to impress. A stunning carbon fiber line up backs up an aggressive engine and exhaust set.

Among a long list of OEM parts converted to light-weight carbon, including rear diffuser, side skirts and more, the prominent new design item is DMC’s rear wing spoiler.

DMC’s engineers develop wings that won’t require you to drill holes into your beloved super car. While other companies offer spoilers that require cutting of their bonnet sides to insert a wing, DMC guarantees no visible damage.

How did they achieve that? It’s simple yet clever. Their wing comes pre-installed on a brand new engine bonnet.

This bonnet complete replaces your original one on the car, giving you not only more weight-saving, but also a massive exposure of more carbon fiber.

So all you have to do is the take the old hood off, and replace the screws with DMC’s new engine cover. The wing already sits on it, ready to go!

This concept was so well received that the initial launch brought up two eager clients that couldn’t wait to get a wing. We present to you one 570s in black and one in white!

Looking more closely at the wing, we can’t help but agree that it’s neither too big nor too small. The angled legs beautifully integrate the lucky number 88 into the design. And the V shaped angle seem to be a new industry trend, we also saw it on the Apollo Intensa Emozione!

Let’s have a look at the new performance that DMC worked out for the 570s owners. Their ECU programme now pushes the car to 642 PS and 692 NM of torque!

Concluding, the car is now able to reach 100 KM/H per hour in 3 seconds faster than your standard car, and reaches a new maximum speed of 335 KM/H.

The exhaust is provided by no one else than Fie-Exhaust, a good choice that also helped DMC’s recents Aventador “Las Americas” to an amazing performance and sound.

At the time of this article, there were no wheels ready to be photographed, but we received confirmation that a set of new rims is already in the works and will be ready at the time when you ready this.

They will be designed in a split-size, brining 20″ to the front wheels, using 235 mm wide Pirelli Zeros, and 21″ to the rear, proudly sitting on 305 mm rubber of the same famous brand from Italy.

Aventador Las Americas

The name DMC stands undoubtedly for the bench mark in Lamborghini refinement. The Germans were first in 2012 to launch an aerodynamic kit for the Aventador, which was quickly followed by Limited Edition just a few months later. Today, we are proud to introduce you to their latest  creation, the Edizione-GT “Las Americas”

Can this car be the new reference and beat their own in-house bench mark once more? It  likely seems so, but judge for yourself. Developed in partnership with Creative Bespoke USA, Fie Exhaust and Forgiato Wheels, the car is as nuts as one can imagine.

It’s a continued improvement over DMC’s E-GT, which is a green card for their engineers to make the best products possible, without concerning market boundaries. The minimum principles that DMC starts playing around with, are FIA Regulations!

How much will it set you back? The whole package starts at around 88880 USD and goes up from there. They say the sky is the Limit, and that seems to work just fine here as well, with options that can quickly reach the 300K USD mark. But then, there’s only 3 of these engineering wonders to be made, how ultra-exclusive do you want to be?

The majority of the funds go into the CB engine upgrade, Forgiato wheels, a new Fie exhaust and the DMC Body Kit. The latter one starts off by completely replacing the standard Lamborghini body with newly designed carbon fiber parts: Front and Rear bumper have to go, new ones come in with a swift.

EGT_LASAM_07

The engine bonnet includes a motor cooling air-scoop, the sides add downforce and F1 carnards improve the overall aerodynamics.  Until we come to the most prominent part of this kit, the massive GT Wing Spoiler. It can be set into 3 different angles for City, Corsa and Crazy mode.

At the end, you get a car that seems to be out of this world, and honestly spoken – it really looks a bit like a space ship. DMC’s CEO told us that his design influences come from watching japanese cartoons when he was a young kid – Captain Future and Gundam in particular. No wonder his creations wear an aggressive and sporty line, especially popular in Asia and the Middle-East.

Honestly we have never seen so much Carbon fiber on a Lamborghini before, but we guess there’s no such thing as TOO MUCH, when it comes to light-weight composits and super-cars, do you agree? The package is completed with a full array of tunnels, flaps and diffusers, all located on the parts mentioned above, truly making the car stand out uniquely in its future home.

That is, if you can get one: DMC informs us that the package is a LIMITED EDITION, that can’t be purchased by simply offering money. Potential buyers have apply before being able to buy: Each of the 3 units is strictly limited to only one (1!) colour and/or style, making every one of them unque. DMC won’t sell the same colour twice, so you would either need to change or discuss a special design pattern with the German engineers.

While DMC’s previous engine modifications were achieved through individual intake throttle plates for each of the 12 cylinders, new fuel pumps, fuel lines, modulators and injection nozzles, the LP988 has been subject to a TWIN-TURBO procedure in combination with a reprogrammed ECU.

A set of forged alloy wheels and a new kit of suspensions keep the beat on the road, but let’s not forget that the aero parts were initially developed to cope for the stronger car performance.

It’s worthwhile to mention that DMC guarantees again no visible damage by using their components, the car can be, at any time, be returned to the OEM look, which can be useful. Owners may keep the stock bumpers and they can be put back onto the car if needed.

The package is finalised with exclusive interior refinements using italian fine leathers and carbon finer. Plenty of buttons and trims are available as a small package, a redesigned steering wheel adds on to complete a medium package or the whole interior can be redone for the VIP package. Small and Medium Projects can be done remotely, but the car needs to be shipped to Germany if a whole interior make-over is requested.
